The Youth Services
Bureau of Huntington County was founded in 1987 and the four core roles of the agency are:
- Delinquency Diversion
- Youth Advocacy
- Information and Referral
- Community Education
MISSION STATEMENT: The mission of the Youth Services Bureau
of Huntington County is to provide quality, comprehensive, empowering programs,
to assist youth and families as they encounter challenges
with childhood, adolescence, and early adulthood.
VISION STATEMENT: To provide an environment in which everyone who comes in contact with a Youth Services Bureau staff, volunteer, or board member will be empowered with the tools and confidence to change their own destiny through programs and services that help fulfill the mission of the agency.
We will be handing out basic school supplies to families. If your child is in need of school supplies please call, 260-356-9681. Orders placed by July 24 can be picked up on August 7 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. We gladly take school supply donations as well!
Third annual Walk for Hope on September 20, 2014. Registration starts and 6:30 pm and event starts at 7:00 pm. Walk For Hope is a 2 mile walk starting at Huntington North High School, south on Cherry St., west on West Park Drive, north on Popular street returning to the high school. We will be carrying candles to honor those that have lost their lives to suicide.
